Search engine One Green Globe hires MarketiQ
The One Green Globe Directory (www.onegreenglobe.com) located in San Francisco, California has hired MarketiQ (www.marketiQ.net) to develop and manage their "Green" Internet marketing strategy. Founder of One Green Globe (OGG) Dean Mello, started the vertical search engine to offer visitors a comprehensive, search-engine friendly resource - specifically designed for humans, by humans. The directory was started by a collective group of concerned individuals as a means to simplify and refine the process of finding quality resources and information on environmental, alternative health, holistic and sustainable lifestyle categories. "We have put a lot of time and effort into our search technology and the tools currently available on the site," says Mello. "We have also optimized the site for search but have yet to connect with our target audience. We know once they visit they will find real value in our site."
The environment is an important issue and one that can be dicey: there are a lot of products promoting themselves as "environmentally friendly" or "sustainable" just to get the attention of a growing consumer base. The goal with OGG is to build an unbiased resource focused on providing consumers with the information they need to sort the wheat from the chaff. The OGG team have developed a strong platform on which to build. MarketiQ’s focus will be giving the site a new look and reorganizing the content based on market research and user studies. The partnership with OGG will also include evaluation of several marketing channels in order to increase Web traffic and click-throughs to directory listings.
